Flowers and Their Meanings: Roses

Flowers are beautiful blossoms that we give to those that are important to us. We receive an eye-full every Spring, of flowers, along with the rain.
I personally believe flowers are more than just something pretty to look at. Despite their abilities to trigger allergy sneezes and prick us with their thorns, each flower and color holds a valuable meaning. It is too bad flowers wilt soon after being picked, but while it still stands in your vase, perhaps this post will allow you to fathom the entire value of the flowers you received or will give.

Red Roses: Love and romance.
Pink Roses: Gracefulness and admiration.
Yellow Roses: Friendship and joy.
White Roses: Purity,innocence,and honor.
Orange Roses: Desire,enthusiasm, and passion.
Purple Roses: Enchantment, and love at first sight.
Black Roses: Hatred and farewell.

To my dear Team and viewers,I would give you a bouquet of yellow roses.

"I don't remember how we happened to meet each other. I don't remember who got along with whom first. All I can remember is all of us together...always." ~author anonymous~

Where we come from-ish

"The most beautiful discovery true friends make is that they can grow separately without growing apart." ~Elisabeth Foley
It's odd how things came to be. All I wanted to do on Tuesday afternoon was to find inspiration for me to continue my studies. Something that I could look at whenever I felt down. It started with me and my $320,000 dream cars then it led to Breanna and Stacey's dream cars. Next thing you know, I was looking up mansions in Austin,TX and fountains for our dream homes. Who would have thought that a single question would give my friends and I something to hope for. Something to laugh at. Something to keep us together and sane throughout our Senior year. For the rest of the week, we discussed our plans to have billion dollar condos as a summer home for our future families and trillion dollar fountains with dolphins in the fountains. The very next day the 3 of us told Jenny, Kayla, Katie, Ashten, and Annie our plans. At first they looked at us like we were whack, but when they thought about it, they came to love the idea.
These ideas made us so happy and optimistic that we decided to put it on paper. We planned to create a "Dream Book". This book would have our unrealistic dream weddings, cars, houses etc along with little quotes to help us. Then it would have our realistic dreams right along with it. We would each make our own part and get together over the summer to put the book together. But a question popped up. What if we couldn't get together? Ding ding a website! a site like "wedreambig.com" or "dreamingbig.com" A website would allow for us to work together without inconveniencing our schedules or our parents schedule. So here we are, as of 05.15.10, we officially have a website and a blog. So what's next for us? A huge Senior scrapbook! The site, the blog, the dream book, and the scrapbook are the perfect ways for my friends and I to keep in touch with each other and its the perfect way to give us inspiration thus leading the way into our soon to be real futures. We have faith that we can achieve these goals....It'll just take a tad bit of time...and money. But that's okys. If what Elisabeth Foley said is true, then with the support of each other, we CAN AND WILL ACHIEVE THESE DREAMS! jaja oopsies a tad bit overly dramatic.

Congratulations Team!

Opening a fortune cookie the other day, I found a fortune that read:
"A man's dreams are an index to his greatness."
